Nissan dealers throughout the US are starting to offer significant discounts on the all-electric Leaf sedan. Drive Electric Minnesota announced a promotion through local dealer Kline Nissan that makes the case that with Federal tax credits, a purchaser could chop as much as 40% off the purchase price. The deals include dealer discounts of $6,313 on a purchase, or $4,613 off a 3 year / 36k mile lease.
The offer is good through the end of March.
In California, Boardwalk Nissan in the SF Bay Area has great lease offers, starting at $99 per month with $3,888 down for the S with charger package. That's before the $2,500 CA state rebate (that amount will vary based on income, and can be as much as $4,000). The three year total is just $7,665 + tax and license for a 12k mile lease.
Nissan of Elk Grove is offering a total of $7,000 off the 2016 Leaf S model and lease deals starting at $239 per month with $3,999 down for a 12k mi / year lease.
Those are all great deals, bringing the cost of this popular EV down to levels comparable to, or even lower than similarly equipped gas-burning siblings.
