Madison and Waukesha, Wisconsin will see National Drive Electric Week events occur on Saturday, September 19, 2015. First, there is a gathering of electric vehicles planned for out in front of the State Capital. Organizers have more than 20 vehicles registered to attend. With a month left until the event, they are hoping to draw many more. Already-registered vehicles include multiple Nissan Leafs, BMW i3s, Chevy Volts and Tesla Model S. Other registered vehicles also include a Zero Motorcycle, a Flux EM1 moped and many more cars.
The Capital event is being held at 100 Martin Luther King Blvd., Madison, WI 53703 from 9 AM to Noon. At Noon, the organizers are hoping participants will caravan 60 miles to the event at Marshall Auto Body, 22300 W. Bluemound Rd., Waukesha, WI 53186, which runs from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Marshall Auto Body has hosted National Drive Electric Week events for 5 years running. They are expecting more display vehicles and guests than ever before. Boucher Automotive Group will be on hand with Leafs and Volts. International BMW will have a Genius with an i3 on hand and can answer all your questions about the car too. If you can’t wait to get a new EV in your driveway, Doering Leasing will be at the event to discuss the advantages of leasing. And, since Marshall Auto Body is a certified Tesla repair facility, expect a large turn out from Tesla enthusiasts and owners to answer any questions.
Carbon Day Automotive will be doing charging demonstrations and discussing the advantages of adding a charging station to your business or home. Three Solar Powered Chargers are on-site: Tesla HPWC (level 2), Clipper Creek CS-100 (level 2), and CHAdeMO (level 3). H&H Solar can show you how the Power from the sun can keep your car charged. Signet will also be available to explain corporate and residential charging solutions for owners of electric vehicles. Meet with the Signet project manager and field engineer.
Other participants in the event include: Silver Lake Auto demonstrating hybrid battery reconditioning techniques; Wisconsin Clean Cities will be on hand to explain how you can reduce your dependence on petroleum-based fuels, promote the use of alternative fuels and technologies, and improve air quality; and Evolution Marketing will be on hand to explain the benefits of green marketing.
