From the bright lights of Las Vegas on September 12th to the natural beauty of Boise, Idaho on September 20th, National Drive Electric Week events are happening at more than 150 events throughout the U.S. and Canada. With more events announced every day, finding an event close to your neighborhood is more likely than ever before.

The Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association (LVEVA) will be hosting National Drive Electric Week at the Springs Preserve on Saturday, Sept. 12th, from 10 AM to 4 PM. It will be staged in the parking lot area under a photovoltaic solar canopy that tracks the sun. The canopy also produces electric power for two ChargePoint stations, each with two SAE J1772 AC Level 2 plugs to recharge four electric cars at a time.  Also take part in the 2nd annual "Electric Juice Bar Crawl," which encourages EV owners to take riders on a cruise of local recharging sites in Las Vegas.

The annual gathering of the extended EV community brings together like-minded enthusiasts, as well as interested first-timers, to celebrate the electric car. The event gives the LVEVA a chance to meet new friends in this region, as well as visitors from Utah, California and Arizona.  Mark Larsen lives in St. George, Utah and has been an active supporter these last four years, making an annual trek over I-15 in his Nissan LEAF to join us.

Anyone interested in joining the club, displaying their EV or sponsoring the event, contact the Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association through their website

Expecting nearly 200 visitors and more than 25 display EVs ranging from a Nissan Leaf to a Tesla Model S to a Zero electric motorcycle. The Treasure Valley Clean Cities Coalition is also participating in the event and will be displaying a Via Truck.
