Four cities across Texas will be hosting events to comemorate National Drive Electric Week 2015 including Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Katy.

The Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Clean Cities Coalition and North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) are excited to host the 2015 area event.  This year’s DFW event will be held on Saturday, September 19th, from 10 AM to 2 PM in section 2C (between Neiman Marcus Last Call and Saks Off 5th) of the Grapevine Mills Mall parking lot, 3000 Grapevine Mills Pkwy., Grapevine, TX 76051.

Activities will include hands on displays for adults and children to learn more about electric vehicles (EVs) and charging options, along with entertainment, giveaways, and ride and drives of various EV models. Organizers are expecting approximately 650 EVs to be displayed throughout the day. Along with the large expected turn out of Teslas and Leafs, organizers are expecting several conversions including a Chevy S-10, Ford Ranger, and BMW 5-Series. This year is on track to be the largest gathering of EVs in North Texas ever.

The North Texas Electric Auto Association will also have a presence at the event. The NTEAA is planning several educational activities including a demonstration board that will show all the components of an electric car.
