Three Events Scheduled in South Carolina Cities for NDEW 2015

National Drive Electric Week will be celebrated in three South Carolina cities: Columbia, Bluffton and Charleston.

The Palmetto State Clean Fuels Coalition (PSCFC) worked with organizers in Columbia and Bluffton to coordinate events.

The Bluffton event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, 100 Community College Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909. With nearly 20 EVs expected to be displayed, the event promises to have a wide variety of electric cars including several Tesla Model S and Nissan Leafs as well as a Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid. Organizers are also expecting Porsche of Hilton Head and Vaden Nissan of Hilton Head to be on hand to talk about their newest electric models. For more information or to be a local sponsor, contact 

The Columbia event takes place Saturday, September 19th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Whole Foods Market Columbia, 702 Cross Hill Rd., Suite 300, Columbia, SC 29205-2084. Organizers are planning on having more than a dozen local EVs on display with several local dealers having vehicles on site along with experts who can answer questions. The Charleston event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th from 10 AM to 3 PM at Local Works/The Refinery, 1600 Meeting St., Charleston, SC 29405.The event will feature Electric Vehicle (EV) owners and dealers available for Q&A sessions, tailgate events, and test drives. Eight models and more than 21 EVs will be featured from manufacturers including Tesla, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, and Nissan. Local area food trucks and other vendors will be on hand.
