Five Events Scheduled in Central and North Florida for Last NDEW Weekend

Join North Florida TPOJEANorth Florida Clean Fuels Coalition and the Sierra Club Northeast Florida for their National Drive Electric Week event on Thursday, September 17th from 5 to 7:30 PM at the Whole Foods located at 10601 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. Ride and Drive in electric cars from local dealers including Tom Bush BMW, Claude Nolan Cadillac, Coggin Chevrolet Avenues and Coggin Nissan Avenues.

Also on the 17th, Electric Day at the Capitol will be held at the Florida State Capitol - Courtyard and Rotunda at 400 South Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399. More than 20 electric cars will be displayed including a Tesla Model S, Tesla Roadster and a Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid

On Saturday, September 19th from 10 AM to 3 PM, join electric vehicle enthusiasts at the Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main St., Fort Myers, FL 33901 for a Proclamation by Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman's office. More than 25 electric vehicles are scheduled to be on display.

The Space Coast EV Drivers are partnering with the City of Satellite Beach, FL on Saturday, September 19th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the David R Schechter Community Center, 1089 S Patrick Dr, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 for their event. Sponsors of the event include; FPL, Schneider Electric EV Link, Porsche of Melbourne, Melbourne BMW, Sema Connect, Melbourne Nissan, Brevard Solar, Solar Energy Systems and Palm Bay Kayaks

In conjunction with the 2015 Northwest Florida Heart Walk, the Florida Emerald Coast Clean Cities Coalition (FECCCC) will host “Drive Electric Pensacola” on Saturday, September 19th at Maritime Park, 301 West Main Street, Pensacola, FL 32502. The Walk begins at 9 AM. Participants in the heart walk will learn about health and environmental benefits of electric drive vehicles. Electric vehicles will have water available in their trunks for Walk participants.
