National Drive Electric Week, September 12-20, 2015, is an outreach and educational event showcasing electric cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Nearly 150 events are scheduled across the U.S. and Canada, this year's National Drive Electric Week is expected to be bigger and draw more attendees than any previous year. Events are organized by local electric car clubs, EV enthusiasts and Clean Cities Coalition organizers.  Guests can talk with local EV drivers for the owner perspective on driving electric. EV owners share their stories about driving and owning electric vehicles. Many events will feature ride & drives, giving attendees to get behind the wheel of a variety of vehicles.

Over the next month leading up to the events, Electric Car Insider will be interviewing organizers and posting previews and highlights of events in cities across the United States and Canada.

National Drive Electric Week originated as National Plug-In Day in 2011. Plug-In America, the Electric Automobile Association and the Sierra Club provide national support to local organizers.
